Bringing data to life on IoT connected construction sites, Built Environment Matters podcast with Craig Lamont, Chief Commercial Officer of asBuilt
I do think that non-structured, just hangin’ out online time is very valuable for stumbling across interesting tidbits of knowledge, but that’s something that really only happens for me every once in awhile, it’s not the way I go about my work day (OK, work hour) regularly.
To make it all floofy and pretty, I doubled the circumference measurement. Then I put the skirt together in two separate pieces, just to make it easier to work with..
I did all the hemming with hot glue (of course), but I used a needle and thread for the basting stitch to make the ruffles..I used my staple gun to attach the fabric at the corners first and then added a few more in the middles for good luck..The staples and stitches got covered up with a little grosgrain ribbon glued all around.. Then I had a stool!
One more piece of the kitchen puzzle falls into place!.I ended up freshening the finish on the top of the stool a bit too.
Just a quick sand, some stain and two coats of poly.
It doesn’t match the desk, but they still seem pretty happy together.. Chris asked me why I’m always skirting everything. It sounds ridiculously simplistic, but as someone who has suffered many years with shelf-based anxiety, I promise you it works!.
It doesn’t matter what kind of items you use either!Dishes, books, pictures, thingamajigs… it’s all good!.
If you’ve got a shelf that you can’t seem to arrange in a way that you like, take five minutes and try this one out!I’m all about saving energy lately. It’s amazing how much more we use at this time of year when we need to keep our homes warm and well-lit for so many hours every day.
